Dahlia Festival

There is a dahlia festival each Labor Day weekend just outside of Portland. Since we are driving more or less past it we have visited it the last two summers. There are fields of dahlia flowers and exhibits of the different varieties inside a tent. The idea is the flowers outside are used for seems to sell and the flowers inside the tent are to choose which varieties you would like to grow. I would love to grow dahlias but they can't grow in Arizona.
I don't have much to say about the gorgeous varieties but thought I would post some flower pictures. There are different shapes and different colors but they are all dahlias.
