What's There To Do At The Beach?

Sometimes someone asks me- What's there to do at the beach? Well, actually there are lots of things we can do. Here are a few:
We take lots of beach walks. Every day. Franklin walks about five miles a day.
Fog is very common and it is really nice to walk in the fog.
I walk a lot on the beach too. A typically crowded beach day.
We are not big time bird watchers but they share our beach so we watch them and they watch us.
I may not be a serious bird watcher but I do enjoy watching bath time at the sea gull spa.

We explore tidepools
And find starfish and other sea creatures
Some sea critters are surprisingly colorful.

Of course there are lots of pictures to take. This is Hoa and Chris.
This is Byron snaping a shot of the always photogenic Hoa

There is always beach fishing

And checking out the local wildlife. The town where we live is called Sea Rock. And this is a local resident.
I always travel with a kite or two
Always nice to take a boat ride. Here we are heading out crabbing with Byron.
This year Byron brought his own boat. Here we are crabbing with Chris and Anna on Byron's boat.

Sometimes we watch people play beach golf.
And watch people ride their bikes on the beach
You can build something in the sand. I'm not likely to do this but I'm glad to watch.

That's my sister, Maxine and brother in law, George trying to  keep warm as they check out the annual sand sculpture contest.
Painting at the beach is very popular.
I don't paint but it is nice to watch artists work on the beach.  Here you can see that the painting is the same view as the landscape. Our house here is full of paintings like this.
It is true that Arizona gets GREAT sunsets, but my favorite sunsets usually include a beach.. This is my niece, Laura, and her boyfriend, Doug.
And last, but not least, here I am with  Franklin  enjoying a sunset on a warm summer evening. .
